PV Elite 2010 Enhancements:

Analysis Features:
  • The new ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & 2 code updates for 2009 addenda
  • WRC Bulletin 297 is now included with the other local stress analysis options
  • U-Tube tubesheets per EN-13445 can be analyzed
  • The Kopp and Sayer method for analyzing expansion joint analysis is now available
  • The Div. 2 saddle analysis is now used for Div. 1 instead of the 'Zick' analysis
  • The bolt shear calculation has been added to the basering calculation
  • A ligament efficiency calculator per ASME UG-53 has been added
  • The Shear Force check in the Nozzle per ASME UG-45 has been implemented
  • Fiber elongation calculations for ASME rolled plate nozzles are now included
  • For ASME Div. 1, table G can be used to determine 'A' in lieu of the exact equation
  • Added forming strain equation from ASME Div. 2 for one piece doubly curved surfaces

    Productivity Features:
  • Improved compatibility with Windows 7
  • Ear type and perpendicular lifting lugs can be modeled and analyzed
  • MDMT enhancements including the low temperature material enhancements and summary report
  • The ASME U-4 form was added
  • The Help System updated and some help screens are available in Spanish 

    Internationalization Features:
  • Seismic Codes per the PDVSA (Venezuela) and Chile NCh2369 have been added
  • The Australian wind and seismic codes have been updated to the latest versions
  • Input echo is optionally available in many languages, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, and Italian

    Visualization Features:
  • The angular orientation for Nozzles, Platforms, etc. is customizable.

    Products that interface with PV Elite:
  • CADWorx Equipment – import and export your PV Elite models within the AutoCAD environment
  • PV Fabricator - produce pressure vessel fabrication deliverables from PV Elite models 
  • Foundation3d – transfer data from your PV Elite file to this foundation design software
  • HTRI – import heat exchanger data automatically after process and thermal design

    CodeCalc 2010 Enhancements (included with PV Elite):

  • ASME Code 2009 updates
  • The Kopp and Sayer method for thick (flanged-flued) expansion joint analysis is now available 
  • WRC Bulletin 297 now includes comparison of stresses to allowables, based on Div. 2
  • Fiber elongation calculations for ASME rolled plate nozzles are now included

    Productivity Features:
  • Interactive on-screen result display added for WRC-297 module
  • Windows 7 compatibility
